UP High will NOT be downsized - University of the Philippines Cebu Alumni Community

Dear Alumni,

GOOD NEWS! UP High School will not be downsized. It's status quo for the next school year.

The threat is still there but the faculty is ready to face the challenge. We are working out programs that will ensure the continued existence of the high school.

Expect your alma mater to be called UPV Cebu High School . The name was suggested by UPV Chancellor Aguilar. So it is now UPV Cebu College and UPV Cebu High School.

Thank you for your continued support. We do hope many of you can attend our reunion in July.

Note: There is still no assurance for the future. We still need everyone's help in addressing the problem of resources. According to the College, the High School is "eating" much of the college's resources, especially teacher salaries.

We need your continued support in working out programs that will generate income for the high school to make it self-sustaining and to avoid future threats of downsizing.
