The search is on for the 2008 Distinguished Alumni of the University of the Philippines! UP graduates are encouraged to nominate alumni who have become embodiments of the Oblation in service and excellence in fields such as public service and governance, community empowerment, culture and the arts, science and technology, and education and health.
The University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) will also give special recognition to individuals and groups with outstanding work for the University. These include UPAA Outstanding Alumni Chapter, Service to UPAA for local and foreign-based chapters, UPAA Family Recognition for families with three generations of UP alumni who have served the nation, and UPAA International Alumni Achievers for non-Filipino alumni who have served their own countries.
Deadline for submission of nominations is on April 15.
